COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES OF BSYO

   On February 27th, 2005, the BSYO invited Sunday Safaris, a program for people with developmental disabilities sponsored by PPPFlorida, to the BSYO's Symphony Orchestra Concert at BCC's Fine Arts Center. Special Guests were invited to a "Musical Instrument Petting Zoo" and hear a special orchestra demonstration by Maestro Joseph Kreines and the BSYO Symphony Orchestra. The guests enjoyed goodie bags lovingly prepared by board members of the BSYO.

   On November 27th, 2005, the BSYO performed a concert to benefit the Sharing Center in Melbourne. Over 3,000 canned goods and toys were collected for those in need and distributed throughout Brevard County. The BSYO has been performing benefit concerts for the Sharing Center for over five years.

   The BSYO Chamber Ensembles have been performing at different community residences and corporate functions throughout the 2004-2005 orchestra season.
